Molly Plehaty, in Fall 2012, composed a Web site for Dr. Chaoping Chen’s Biochemistry and Molecular Biology research lab at Colorado State University.  Molly’s writing engages readers throughout the site by conveying the positive spirit of the lab and clearly explaining the scientific focus of the lab, “characterizing the structure and functional mechanism of HIV-1 precursor protease.”  She presents biographical information about researchers in the lab and testimonies from research assistants that include best piece of advice and the “best ‘horrible’ lab mistake” so readers feel welcome, as if invited, to join the work of Dr. Chen’s lab and/or learn more about the remarkable experiments being conducted.
